2 & 3 way
Diverter Gate
Valve

Diverter valves are essential components in bulk solid handling systems. They are used to shut off flows, and change conveying directions of powders, pellets and granular bulk materials.

2 & 3 Way Diverter Gate Valve

During processing of bulk solids, material flow should be controlled in different locations. In gravity discharge applications, diverter valves are generally installed at the outlet of dry bulk storage bins, silos, hoppers, chutes, mechanical conveyors or any similar points.

Diverter valves are used to divert gravity flow of bulk solids from one feeding point to two or more receiving points. In pneumatic conveying applications diverter valves are used to divert bulk material flow from one feeding point to two or more receiving points.

Extensive range of flow control and diverter valves are available for handling dry bulk material in pneumatic conveying and gravity flow applications. In addition to standard production range, AEGIS offers custom designed valves for wide range of applications.

Designing valves for bulk solid handling processes require great deal of know-how and long years of experience. Selecting the most efficient valve for a particular system plays crucial role in obtaining long years of service.

Requirements vary from application to application, but in general diverter valves must be constructed from very durable materials and with few moving parts.

Diverter valves can be actuated with electrical motors or pneumatic actuators. Because of the materials and conditions, the actuator must be able to endure high cycle rates, dusty atmospheres, and high vibration over long periods of time.

Pneumatic actuators are frequently used on conveying systems because they are operated pneumatically and eliminate additional installation and safety concerns required by electric operators. The actuator is used to rotate a steel shaft and arm to either the bypass (straight through), or divert (90 Deg.) position.
